Digestive health will be in focus next year when Copenhagen hosts the United European Gastroenterology Week 2023.
Held
in the Danish capital for the first time in 2005, the congress will take place at Bella
Center and is expected to attract 10,000 delegates.
Organised by United European Gastroenterology (UEG),
the congress is leading in its field and gathers gastroenterology professionals
from across the continent.
“We are very excited that UEG has chosen to return to
Copenhagen. We are thoroughly enjoying the close collaboration with the
organisation and look much forward to welcoming both UEG and its delegates next
year,” said Bettina Reventlow-Mourier, deputy convention director, Wonderful Copenhagen.
UEG is the leading non-profit organisation for
excellence in digestive health in Europe and beyond. It represents over 50,000
professionals from national and specialist societies, individual digestive
health experts and related scientists from all fields. It aims to improve the
prevention and care of digestive diseases in Europe by providing top-tier
education, supporting research and advancing clinical standards.
“UEG is thrilled to again hold our annual congress for
international digestive health professionals in the wonderful city of
Copenhagen. We look forward to inviting our #myUEGcommunity to such a welcoming
location to ingest the best science and to meet, exchange and evolve,"
says Helena Cortez-Pinto, UEG President.
United European Gastroenterology Week 2023 will take
place at Bella Center October 14-17 next year.
