AIM signals international ambitions with new Barcelona office

AIM Group International, the professional congress organiser, is opening a new office in Barcelona.

The announcement was made during a party to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the company’s Madrid office, which has managed 1,000 events in 35 different destinations for 230 clients.

AIM Group International president Gianluca Buongiorno said the growth of business in Spain and a desire to strengthen AIM’s international profile were behind the decision to open in Barcelona.

Marco Quagliarella, international operations director of AIM Group International, said: “Barcelona is the first destination in Europe for the meetings market according to the ICCA Ranking. We are glad to be present in this vibrant city and part of the region’s important meetings industry. We are sure that we will be able to develop new business and offer clients exceptional solutions.”

The Barcelona office reports to the Spain country manager Natalie Alagna. The new office will be managed by Felipe Gonzales Del Moral, currently a senior member of our Madrid team.

Said Alagna: “Our aim is to act not as the largest company but as the best in the market, with the same tailor-made approach and level of commitment. We look forward to operating with the same quality and innovative thinking for the next 10 years with a truly Spanish entusiasmo.”

The excitement was tangible at the 10 Years Celebration Party, at The Haciendas Club garden, where about hundred guests mingled with AIM Group’s top management and the AIM Madrid team.

“We are really proud of Madrid office’s excellent work and we deeply thank the clients who partnered with us and their loyalty to us over the years. We are very enthusiastic about opening a new office in such a major congress destination as Barcelona,” said Buongiorno. “This successful growth and important results are the fruit of the determined, consistent efforts of all the AIM Group team. I am confident this will drive us towards further positive results”.
