Mira Altman, CEO at ICC Jerusalem, attended IBTM China for the first time this year after Chinese meeting planners expressed a particular interest in hosting events in Israel.
Accompanied by her deputy, Rakefet Iluz, she flew to Beijing to participate in the long-running incentive and business travel and meetings show, one of the country’s major convention fairs.
They were responding to information that the State of Israel in general, and the city of Jerusalem in particular, are of special interest to Chinese planners from the convention industry and decision-makers in economic, medical and academic institutions who are interested in the possibility of holding large conferences in Jerusalem.
