Northstar Meetings Group and its industry-leading brand, M&C Asia, has announced a Japan edition of its flagship M&C Asia Connections (MCAC).
To be held in Kyoto from June 29 to 30, 2020, MCAC Japan 2020 leverages Northstar’s comprehensive meetings and events database and reputable brands, and connects pre-qualified international planners from corporations, associations, incentive houses and independent planning companies based in North America, Europe and Asia with elite Japanese travel suppliers including hotels, resorts, convention bureaus (CVBs) and destination management companies (DMCs).
The two-day invitation-only hosted-buyer event at the Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto includes a series of pre-scheduled one-on-one appointments, expert education sessions, and unique experiential networking events.
“On the heels of our success with MCAC in Singapore, Northstar and M&C Asia are pleased to bring our flagship Asia MICE hosted-buyer event to Kyoto in 2020,” said David Blansfield, executive vice president of Northstar Meetings Group.
“The city offers a rich blend of history and culture, endless unique experiences that would make for amazing off-sites, and world-class MICE facilities and venues as well as easy connectivity from the nearby Kansai International Airport.”
“MCAC has always served as a fantastic platform for us to bring together qualified international buyers and leading travel suppliers in the meetings and events industry,” said Irene Chua, vice president, Asia, for Northstar Travel Group.
“With MCAC Japan 2020, our hosted buyers and suppliers can expect a refreshing programme of pre- and post-event familiarisation trips centred around the city’s longstanding imperial heritage. What will continue to thread through the event will be our dedication to facilitating high-quality business matches, in-depth educational sessions and ample networking opportunities.”
Kyoto, the cultural capital of Japan, was chosen as the host of MCAC Japan 2020 for its blend of rich culture, meetings and events infrastructure, and renowned ‘Omotenashi’ hospitality.
