Shortlist announced for 2019 European Association Awards

The shortlist for the third European Association Awards has been announced.

More than 50 organisations will compete for awards across 15 categories, including Best Lobbying Campaign; Best Association Website; and Most Innovative Development by an Association.

Finalists include the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC), Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), Accountancy Europe, Home Appliance Europe (APPLiA) and SolarPower Europe.

Claire Wormsley, managing director of award organiser the Global Conference Network (GCN), said the shortlisted entries displayed ‘remarkable creativity and impressive, quantifiable results.’

“The response to these awards have been extremely impressive with entries from all types and sizes of European associations entering,” she said. “The range of initiatives highlighted in the entries demonstrates the extensive range of activities which European Associations are involved in to support their members.  All the associations shortlisted should be congratulated.”

A panel of 29 judges, representing secretaries general from leading European Associations, reviewed the dozens of entries received. The winners will be announced at the European Association Awards ceremony will take place in Brussels at the Le Plaza Hotel on 28th March 2019.
