Poken by GES has been chosen as an official technology provider for the 84th UFI Global Congress in South Africa.

The exhibition industry association’s conference takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 1-4 November 2017.

Jason Popp, executive vice president, international at GES said: “The exhibitions industry is hungry for data and insight that can demonstrate visitor and exhibitor ROI. GES provides the latest engagement technologies to ensure a seamless visitor experience and boost exhibitor lead capture. We are excited to showcase these capabilities at this prestigious event.”

This year’s event will use near field communications technology with Poken’s smart badges and touchpoints serving as the engine of the programme content, while Poken’s software and gamification technology will drive the delegate engagement experience. Visitor behaviour analytics will be displayed throughout the event.

Kai Hattendorf, managing director/CEO of UFI, said: “The UFI Global Congress revolves around the exchange of information and the sharing of ideas. The smart technologies developed by Poken will help deliver an integrated experience, provide tailored content to visitors and greater returns for exhibitors and sponsors.”
