Pittet is new head of Geneva Convention Bureau

Alain Pittet has been appointed head of the Geneva Convention Bureau – tasked with increasing the number of association meetings that take place in the Swiss city.

Pittet brings three decades of congress management to the table, most recently as executive director of International Business Development at the Italian congress organisers EGA worldwide.

Previously he was managing director of the Congrex Switzerland for nine years and before that he spent 16 years at Swiss Exhibition, the exhibition centre in Zurich.

A native (Swiss) German speaker, Alain is fluent in French, English and Italian.

Married with two grown-up sons, he and his Italian wife own a small house with a vineyard in Sardinia where they produce their own wine.
