What’s ‘legal but not ethical’ in meetings?

I was stopped at check-in flying through Heathrow to Iceland and told I was on a reserve list, because the plane was ‘full’ and I hadn’t checked-in online (it’s a long story, but I didn’t have time!). I was furious, but managed to hide my chagrin behind a polite smile and eventually they let me through. I regard this kind of behaviour as legal but not ethical and it got me thinking about the meetings industry and the lot of the planner. I would love to know what people think are legal but not ethical things that happen in our industry. Any thoughts???
