New tools for organisers

ADNEC has been using the time since the pandemic hit to think strategically about how to support organisers from planning an event to execution. An early adopter of virtual assistance, the venue has recently launched  a new interactive venue tour alongside a range of assets including an organiser guide and social media assets and videos on safety measures that can be co-branded.

Safety first

Not only has Abu Dhabi topped a global ranking of 50 cities for its response to the pandemic, for the past six years it has been number one on global data website Numbeo’s safety rankings.

The venue

Just 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, ADNEC offers more than 142,000 sqm of flexible event space, 12 column-free exhibition halls and six on-site hotels offering 1,800 rooms within walking distance. Ideal for medium to large conferences, ICC Abu Dhabi offers four large conference halls and 21 meeting rooms alongside sophisticated banqueting space. Large outdoor areas include Waterfront Quayside and a Marina.

Working in partnership

With the services now available from Capital Experience, the venue’s newly launched destination management company, it is easier than ever to arrange authentic cultural experiences, more than 100 excursion programmes and spectacular functions. It also has arrangements in place with many hotels as well as national carrier Etihad.

ADNEC’s professional team prides itself on working with event planners to assist with everything from risk assessment forms to applying for an event license on their behalf.

In addition, ADNEC offers in-house catering, event management, production and AV services as well as a free marketing support package. Its government and protocol department can help navigate the complexities of gaining governmental support.

“In addition to lending our creative expertise, our team holds the organiser’s hand throughout the entire process,” says Robin Miller, director of sales, conferences and events at ADNEC. “We can provide support in a number of crucial areas including navigating government entities, organising VIP invitations and protocol as well as support in maximising exposure for your event via our marketing channels. Simply put, your success is our success.”
